Treatment Methods
Manual Therapy According to the Kaltenborn–Evjenth Concept
This method is based on a comprehensive biomechanical and functional analysis of the patient’s condition.
A detailed examination protocol allows for an accurate diagnosis, followed by the selection of appropriate treatment.
The therapy addresses both passive and active elements of the musculoskeletal system – muscles, nerves, and joints.
Treatment techniques include joint mobilisations, muscle stretching, soft tissue mobilisations, manipulations, and targeted exercises.
Manual Therapy According to the Plaatsman Concept
This is a Dutch concept for diagnosing and treating the causes of mechanical disorders in the musculoskeletal, neurological, and neuromuscular systems.
It focuses on a precise functional therapeutic diagnosis, enabling the design of targeted treatment using a variety of mobilisation techniques – including specific joint and joint capsule manipulations, as well as neuromobilisation techniques.
Kinesiology Taping
This method achieves excellent therapeutic results through the precise application of a specialised tape to the body.
The technique uses an elastic tape called Kinesio Tex, which provides purely mechanical stimulation.
Its physical properties – elasticity up to 140% (without restricting movement), weight, and thickness – closely resemble those of human skin.
